QSO Manager – How to Bulk Update Contacts

1 min read

The QSO Manager in World Radio League gives you a centralized place to view, search, filter, export, and bulk edit all your logged contacts — regardless of which logbook they’re in.

Whether you need to update contact details, fix a logging error, or export a subset of QSOs, QSO Manager makes it quick and efficient.

What Is QSO Manager? #

Each of your contacts in World Radio League is stored in a logbook — often grouped by purpose (e.g., “Home Log,” “POTA Activation,” or “Contest Log”).

QSO Manager lets you:

  • View and manage all contacts across all logbooks

  • Search and filter by call sign, band, mode, date range, or logbook

  • Bulk update contact details

  • Export selected QSOs

  • Quickly find, sort, or refine your contact data

How to Access QSO Manager #

  1. From your dashboard, open the QSO Manager tab in the main navigation.

  2. You’ll see a table of all your QSOs across different logbooks.

How to Bulk Update Contact Details #

Step 1: Filter the Contacts #

Use the filtering tools to narrow down the contacts you want to update:

  • By Logbook (e.g., “CQ Worldwide Contest”)

  • By Band, Mode, Country, or Call Sign

  • By Date Range (e.g., “Last 30 Days”)

Click Apply once you’ve set your filters.

Step 2: Select Contacts #

  • Use the checkboxes to select the individual QSOs, or

  • Click “Select All” to select the entire filtered list

Step 3: Bulk Edit #

  1. Click “Bulk Edit Details”

  2. You’ll be taken to a familiar logging interface

  3. Update only the fields you want to change, such as:

    • Operating Location

    • POTA Activity or Park ID

    • Mode or Band

    • Notes

    • Country or Grid Square

  4. Click “Preview Changes” to review what’s about to be updated

  5. Then click “Update Contacts” to apply the changes

Only the fields you change will be updated — untouched fields will remain as-is.

Exporting Contacts from QSO Manager #

QSO Manager also allows for targeted exports:

  • After filtering and selecting QSOs, click “Export QSO”

  • Your export will contain only the selected QSOs

  • A notification will appear with a download link once the export is ready

This is ideal when you need to export part of a log for submission to external services or clubs.

Additional Features in QSO Manager #

  • Search by Call Sign: Quickly locate specific contacts (e.g., “NØAPX”)

  • Edit Individual Contacts: Click on a QSO to view and edit it

  • Customize Columns: Choose which QSO data columns are shown

  • Date Filter: View only contacts from a specific time period (e.g., “Last 30 Days”)

Summary #

QSO Manager is the perfect tool for:

  • Organizing and cleaning up your logs

  • Correcting location or mode details in bulk

  • Exporting filtered sets of contacts

  • Quickly navigating all of your QSOs

Whether you’re managing contest logs or fixing POTA entries, QSO Manager puts you in full control.
