Comma-separated logging in World Radio League allows you to log multiple operators at the same location without entering the same contact information multiple times.
This is especially useful when hunting POTA stations where two or more operators are activating the same park.
How Comma-Separated Logging Works #
When multiple operators are at the same location, enter their call signs in the Call Sign field separated by a comma.
For example:
KG4VET,KJ4ULZ
World Radio League will recognize each call sign individually while allowing you to enter the shared contact information only once.
Logging Multiple Operators #
To log multiple operators:
- Open or create the logbook you want to use.
- In the Call Sign field, enter the first operator’s call sign.
- Add a comma, then enter the next operator’s call sign.
- Enter the shared contact information, such as:
- Frequency
- Band and mode
- POTA park number
- Other applicable contact details
- Click Log Contact.
World Radio League will automatically create a separate QSO for each operator using the information you entered.
Using Comma-Separated Logging for POTA #
This feature is particularly helpful when hunting POTA activators.
For example, you may work one operator at a park and then hear:
“Stand by for second op.”
Instead of logging the first operator and then entering the park, frequency, and other information again for the second operator, simply enter both call signs separated by a comma.
The shared park and contact details can then be used to log both QSOs at once.
